The Usborne Book Fair will be open in the library after school.

  • Wed, 5/20:       12:30 – 2:30 pm
  • Thurs, 5/21:     2:40 – 4 pm & Evening 6 – 8 pm with a storytime
  • Fri, 5/22:                 2:40 – 4:00 pm

Come and look for new books for your children's summer reading, find fun and educational activity kits to keep them busy on long trips or long summer days! What’s more, the school library will also benefit, and get free books worth half the total sales!

 PURPOSE:
 The San Mateo County SELPA Governing Board will conduct a Public Hearing on the San Mateo County SELPA Annual Service Plan and the  Annual Budget Plan for 2015-16.

Foster City School Science Fair

The Foster City School Science Fair will be held on Wednesday, May 27th from 6:30 – 7:30 PM  in the MPR (grades K-4) and in the Library (grade 5.)  Students may display projects individually, as partners, or as a group, as permitted by their teacher.  Fifth grade student participation is mandatory, and may be done individually or with only one partner from his/her own classroom.

The purpose of the Science Fair is:

  • To stimulate creativity and an active interest in science
  • To provide an educational experience that is positive, fun, and enriching!
  • To give public recognition and encouragement to students who are interested in science
  • To give students at Foster City School an opportunity to be recognized for extended academic effort
  • To introduce the concept of the Scientific Method of experimentation.

Science projects need to be brought to school on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 by 8:00 a.m. to be set up for the Science Fair that evening.

If your child is interested in participating in the Science Fair, information packets will be available from your child’s teacher very soon.  The application will be the last page of the information packet.

The application to participate in the Science Fair must be turned in by Wednesday, May 13

California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress, or CAASPPis the new state academic testing program. CAASPP has replaced the Standardized Testing and Reporting or the STAR program.
